Dr David Pratt

Dr David Pratt brings over 25 years of clinical experience to the team, with a background spanning surgical specialties, sports medicine, and regenerative therapies. Originally from the UK, Dr Pratt completed his medical training at University College London, including research in anatomy and developmental neuroscience, and clinical work in a neurosurgical unit in California.

His early career involved work across Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, General and Vascular Surgery in the UK. A chance encounter during this time led to a role supporting one of the country’s top Rugby League teams, which sparked a long-standing interest in sports medicine. He went on to complete postgraduate training in Sports and Exercise Medicine, later working with elite sporting teams including the Scotland Under-19 Football squad, and contributing to Men’s Health magazine.

Dr Pratt’s career has also taken him to New Zealand and rural Queensland, where he spent several years working in emergency medicine, general practice, and assisting in private orthopaedic surgery. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has developed a special interest in the use of ultrasound-guided techniques for musculoskeletal conditions.

A certified member of the Interventional Orthobiologics Foundation (IOF), Dr Pratt is committed to evidence-based regenerative treatments such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP), prolotherapy, and bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC). He is passionate about helping patients avoid or delay surgery through the use of advanced, minimally invasive therapies.

Dr Pratt now lives on the Sunshine Coast with his wife and two children. He looks forward to working collaboratively with patients and colleagues alike to deliver personalised, outcome-focused care in pain management and musculoskeletal health.
